“If we have the opportunity to be the shelter and comfort for one who feels too tired to “come in from the rain,” we must use this opportunity to offer shelter, a warm heart, a loving hand, an open ear, a soft shoulder, and allow as much time as it takes until the sun shines for them again…if we are willing to truly offer love and guidance.

If someone asks for loving comfort and support, and we have the time and space to offer a loving environment, we may be giving someone an opportunity to share, to re-align with love, and to release, and a chance to change the trajectory of their path.  Sometimes all that we need is to be heard.

Love, empathy and time are the antidotes.” -Wendy Blanchard, MS, CHHC
